Diverticulitis Symptoms – A Diet For Diverticulitis

Diverticulitis symptoms occur whenever one or more diverticula inside your digestive tract becomes inflamed or possibly infected. A diet for diverticulitis should be used when this happens, these effects are due mostly to years of poor eating habits.

Diverticula are very small, bulging pouches that can form anywhere inside your digestive system. That includes your esophagus, your stomach and small intestine. However, they will most commonly be found in the large intestine. This disease is not uncommon, especially after 40 years of age. Often times people never even know they have it because it seldom ever causes any problems.

Sometimes, however,diverticulitis signs do occur, causing severe abdominal pain, marking a change in your bowel habits,and even nausea and fever. Mild cases though may be treated with proper rest,and a diet for diverticulitis. The should include fresh made juices daily as the nutrients are absorbed much faster.

Two of the best juices I personally use are carrot and papaya. If necessary in some cases antibiotics may be prescribed by your doctor. But serious cases of diverticulitis may require surgery.

Several of the more common signs include:

* Pain that can come suddenly, severe, and usually located around the lower left side of the abdomen. Less commonly, some stomach or abdominal pain that could be mild in the beginning, and slowly get worse over a period of several days,possibly fluctuating in intensity.

* Abdominal tenderness

* Change in bowel habits

* Diarrhea or Constipation

* Fever

* Nausea and vomiting

*Loss of appetite

Less common signs and symptoms of could include:

* Bloating

* Bleeding from your rectum

What happens is food will sit in the intestines causing the irritation. Try a enema to clear your bowels. The undigested foods we eat can often clog the bowels and cause the pain and discomfort. Using an over-the-counter enema can help clear the blockage releasing the pressure that contributes to the Diverticulitis Symptoms.

A proper diet for diverticulitis,fortunately,can greatly reduce and even eliminate inflammation and infection.

Did you know its actually possible to eliminate your diverticulitis symptoms in as little as one day!
