Ever try those low calorie diets? What about low carb, low fat, shakes, flushes, pills, patches and so on and so on and on…
You are going to spend a lot of time and money trying every diet out there and none may work for you. (That’s my story) They all seem to be the same don’t they?
There are other types of diets out there that can help you to loss weight. Lets take a look at 3 different types of Diets on the market today.
The first is called Metabolic Cooking. Its’ premise is that it is not a diet at all but a lifestyle change. This program uses food to actually help you to boost your metabolism. Boosting your metabolism helps you to burn the fat. It tells you how to use regular food and mix with the appropriate spices to boost your metabolism. It instructs you on how to transform your body into a fat burning furnace. It also instructs you on how to avoid the plateau that most diets fall into, where the diet stops getting results. This diet will provide you with a well proportioned meal that tastes great.. Of course when you add a regular schedule of exercise to that menu you will have all the tools you need to burn the fat and calories and be well on your way to losing the weight.
Then there is the Scarsdale low Carbohydrate Diet. Carbs are broken down by the body directly into sugar. Sugar is stored as fat. A low carb diet decreases the amount of sugar in your body and forces your body to break down your own stored fat to fuel your systems. This Diet has evolved from the old Low Carb diets in that it does allow some multigrains, and fats. This diet you follow for a 2 week cycle then you have a period ot time that you are off the diet and then resume it again for 2 weeks and then follow the same cycle over and over again. This diet allows you to eat as much carrots, celery and lean protein as you want, but the problem I have with this diet is that it doesn’t allow any alcohol while you’re on it, so plan your cycles well people if you want to have a drink.
Interested in a Raw Foods only Diet, my husband calls it rabbit food, you know carrots, celery. I actually love the stuff, give my a good salad anyday. This diet is based on the theory that your body isn’t getting the nutrients it needs to function and keep you healthy. By eatting the raw foods only you can give your body the right nutrients with lower calories and therefore loose the weight and be healthier. They also beleive that cooking the food destroyes enzymes in the food itself making your body use it’s own enzymes to digest the food. That can lead to a depletion within your body and can cause illness.
So this diet has lots of raw fruits and vegetables but also seaweeds, nuts and wholegrains and apparently also cakes, cookies and fudge. I thought cakes and cookies were my problem to begin with.
Who knew!
